When you donate stock to JFS, you are helping people in need and receiving tax advantages at the same time.  There is great value in giving appreciated stocks instead of cash, and some financial planners say that it is the best way to give gifts over $1,000.  You should consult with your financial advisor to see what is best for you.

To donate stock, you or your broker should contact JFS prior to the transfer at 717-233-1681. We will provide the transaction information required to make the stock transfer into the JFS account and will record and recognize your transfer accordingly.
