The American Mental Health Awareness Association will present a National Conference on November 19 and 20 at the Hershey Lodge, 325 University Dr., Hershey, PA. The conference will include workshops, panel discussions, and lectures addressing the importance of Mental Wellness in the Workplace, the Military, the Classroom, the Home, and in Sports. Elaine Strokoff, JFS Service Coordinator will participate in the Healthier Mind is a Happier Life In the Community-Workshop 6.
Elaine recognizes the relationship between mental wellness and community life, with over 21 years of experience in the field. Since March 2017, Elaine has worked on a JFS Mental Health Case Management Program (MHCM) which has succeeded in providing emergency assistance, case management, and financial support to those at risk of “falling through the cracks.” The MHCM Program offers short-term, personalized interventions to make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of people it serves.
