Meet the JFS Board: Interview with Rosette Roth

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in East Brunswick in Central NJ.

My family moved to Harrisburg for a wonderful job opportunity back in 2006.

How long have you been involved with JFS?

I have been involved with the JFS Board for about 2 years. My mother had always volunteered for JFS in New Jersey and JFS has always been very special to our family long before I joined the Board.

Is there a particular program or service that JFS provides that is particularly meaningful to you?

The Kosher Meals on Wheels program that JFS provides is particularly important to me because the Senior Citizens who do not drive benefit from these healthy, delicious delivered meals.

If you could impact one thing in the Greater Harrisburg community, what would it be?

If I could impact one thing in the Greater Harrisburg community, it would be for a stronger sense of community.

What is your motto?

My motto is “The answer can’t be YES if you never ASK”.

When are you happiest?

I am happiest with my family, on a vacation or just hanging out together.
